Step 1 is done; you have chosen which snacks you want and have them in the freezer. But we are not there yet! Perhaps the most important part comes now: preparing this gluten-free and allergen-free bittergarnituur. After all, you do not want your colleagues to get sick. With this step-by-step list, you too can prepare gluten-free & allergen-free without worries!

  1. Make sure you have a clean fryer. Pay extra attention to this and make sure there is not a crumb to be seen. If necessary, buy a new, small fryer (often available for less than €20) and mark it as the allergen-free fryer. No products containing gluten or other allergens may be prepared in this!
  2. Fill the fryer with new and clean frying fat. No frying fat that has been used before! Make sure that from now on no allergen-rich products are prepared in this fryer. 
  3. Wash the tongs and other materials (think of the bowl the snacks come in). Put them aside, possibly in something that can be sealed so that no cross-contamination can occur.
  4. Are you ready to prepare the snacks? Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and dry them with a clean towel.
  5. Check the preparation times of all products (see packaging). 
  6. Prepare the snacks as indicated and serve them with the clean materials you previously set aside. Make sure that only the people for whom the snacks are intended also eat them to prevent cross-contamination. Keep a close eye on this. In the meantime, do not touch products with allergens.

Tip! Have you thought about sauces? Check the ingredients of the sauces in the supermarket and choose an option without allergens.
